Sue & John Franklin
Hi, We are John & Sue Franklin and been Devon AO's since 2005, having been Triumph owners from the 60's. Have had Heralds, Spitfire MkII and 1500 before starting again in 2001 after inheriting Sue's father's owned from new 1969 Herald Convertible. She was joined in 2006 by a 1972 Stag known as 'Frugal' as she isn't!
We were joined by Nigel Kenneison in 2017 who has had his Spitfire 1500 since 2015 (a retirement present to self) which is called the “Floozie” – to do with grapheme colour synaesthesia has had purple enhancements.
TSSC Devon is a thriving group of members. We meet on the third Wednesday of every month at the The Star Inn, Old Liverton Road, Liverton, Newton Abbot, TQ12 6EZ. Easy to get to and there is a large car park. See the map on our Contact Us page.
Our informal meetings start around 7.30ish and we make everyone welcome. We don't just talk cars, but have a good social evening with tech help available when needed.
In addition to our monthly Noggin & Natter meetings at the Claycutters, most months we have a drive out ending at a suitable hostelry, usually, on the first Sunday monthly. In the summer we also attend shows, notably Powderham and West Somerset Steam Rally where we have a large Club presence, and numerous other events such as Trains and Triumphs at the South Devon Railway, which we organize and where we raise monies for local charities, but our main aim in life is to enjoy driving our cars and each other's company.
Come along, meet us and see what we are like, with or without a Triumph!!
